A Note on Environmental Product Declarations
It is understood that building professionals often refer to Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies to assess impacts and make sourcing decisions for the products they specify. While EPDs can be a valuable source of information for certain environmental impacts, they may not be useful when it comes to wood traceability or transparency as described above.
